Richard White, Pastor
Romans 11:33-36
"Oh! Him!"
-
What is most difficult for you to remember (and believe) about God?
-
What in this Doxology of Paul’s speaks to what you struggle to remember?
-
In what ways do you question or doubt God’s wisdom, knowledge ,and the riches of his grace? (Hint - think of what you worry and fret over, complain about, etc…)
-
What are some ways you have experienced or observed the wisdom and knowledge of God in your life? Has God ever surprised you in the way he worked?
-
Read through Isaiah 40:12-31. How does Isaiah help flesh out God’s greatness when Isaiah (and Paul) asks: “Who has known the mind of the Lord or who has been his counselor?” How does Isaiah 40 practically speak to you and to our world today with regard to God’s wisdom and knowledge.
-
How should verses 33-34 of Romans 11 shape our humility? What about our trust in the Lord?
-
What are the riches of God (vs 33)? What can you remember from the entire book of Romans that you treasure as God’s riches in your life?
-
Paul launches into this doxology, worshipping God, after deep theological discussion of the Jews and Gentiles (and a lot more from the entire letter). What does this teach us about theology and worship?
